Welcome

The Faculty of Education of the University of Alicante and the Neuromotricity and Motor Literacy Research Group, as well as the Center for University Studies for Education in Diversity of the University of La Laguna, are organizing the VI International Congress on Music and Culture for Inclusion and Innovation, to be held on May 23 and 24, 2024, in person (with the possibility of virtual participation). The in-person sessions will take place at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Education. Virtual contributions will be submitted in video format and will be available for viewing on a YouTube channel with access for congress participants.

This meeting will bring together experts from different national and international backgrounds who will share with attendees the significant role that music plays as a socializing, interdisciplinary, transdisciplinary, and inclusive element. The various elements that enable integral development in individuals’ education will be addressed, emphasizing the crucial role that culture and education play in this process. Furthermore, the prominent role of artistic education as a therapeutic tool will be highlighted. We must be aware that music is something that accompanies us throughout our entire lives and serves not only to express moods but also to share information and transmit cultural elements.
